Good Spirits
It's always important to not give up on hope and to look at things optimistically. We can still have a better surgery and get Grandpa cured. We can still know that God has a plan, he just wanted to take a little detour. And we can still always know that we have a huge support made up of family and friends who can help lift our spirits and push us forward when things get rough. Thank you for all of your prayers so far, and please keep my family in your thoughts(: Remembering you just gotta believe and stay strong<3

Update!!
Just visited Grandpa in his new room. He was sitting up, eating, and was walking earlier...All good signs :) Keep up the Prayers Please!
Fun in Boston
Decided to eat at "Dicks Last Resort" today for lunch with Troy, Erica, and their family. Mallori liked her new "Monkey Girl" hat.
Staying Strong
Grandpa's doing good today(: He's been up and walking but still in some pain. Heading up to the hospital in a few hours to see him!
There's still Plenty of Hope
I wasn't quite sure how to summarize the outcome of the surgery to the people who asked about it, but my Uncle Troy did a really nice job with his summary on his blog. So instead of writing my own I decided to repost his(: I hope it clears up some questions and dont forget to keep up the hope, prayers, and good thoughts!! <3

Love You Grandpa!
Waiting to hear back from the Doctors now...Hear's a picture of Grandpa Ron and I before the surgery<3
Taking a break
Walked across the hospital to the foodcourt. Ended up getting the snack of "Dunkin' Donuts" with Tay. We're true Boston people now
Update
Grandpa got out of surgery at about 3:40 today...Not sure if it was good, bad or neither since we were told it would be about a 6 to 8 hour surgery. Doctors told us he was scheduled for a four hour surgery though. Now just waiting to hear back from the Doctors on how things are going...
At the hospital
Grandma came back and let us know that Grandpa just headed back for surgery. It's supposed to be a good 6 to 8 hour procedure. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
Ya Gotta Believe, Supporting Ron Ruel
Ok so my Uncle recently made a blog on my Grandpa's journey through his mesothelioma cancer, and he showed me how to make one as well. I figured I would make a blog about his obstacles through this too, but from mine and Taylor's point of view. You can follow this for updates on his surgery's and our vacation and trips through it all. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers so far....They all mean a lot to my family and I.
